Just in time for Monday's Cake, I thought I'd make this cake I found in Esther Brody's book last week. Very easy to make, very different as well as tasty.
we need
3 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground allspice
1 cup cold, strong coffee
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup liquid honey
4 eggs, at room temperature
3/4 cup vegetable oil
icing glaze
1 1/4 cups icing sugar, sifted
4-6 tsps cold water
ground walnuts(optional)
